Making a Meaningful Online Photo Album
You should strive to make your photo albums tell a story that anyone, even people who don’t know you, can understand. Most online photo sharing websites provide all the tools you need to make sure that you photo album tells an interesting story. It doesn’t take much work, and it’ll greatly enhance the experience for people who are viewing your photos.
You should try and share things that you yourself are passionate about. If you’re not really interested in what you’re taking pictures of, why should your audience? If you have a hobby that you particularly enjoy and are proud of, you should share that through your photos. This is especially true for crafting projects. Be sure to take pictures of the work-in-progress through its various stages, as well as a picture of yourself with the finished project. You can add comments to each photo explaining how the process works, so viewers of the album will learn something about the craft and about you while they view your photos.
Creating a “photo documentary” of your life is another great way to engage viewers of your photos. You can share an important week in your life, perhaps your training prior to running a marathon all the way through the marathon itself. You can capture your family vacation and share it with the world, day by day. This creates a great way for new acquaintances to really get to know you and for old friends and distant relations to catch up with your life in an instant.
You should also take some time to convert your old photos to a digital format in order to share them. It’s not just the recent events in your life that are important to share. You may be able to dig up some old family photos and share with everyone the history of your family. It’s a great way to reminisce about days past with your loved ones.
Remember that the important moments in life aren’t always around the holidays. Many people tend to let their cameras sit and collect dust when there isn’t some sort of holiday celebration going on. You should always keep your camera close at hand ready to capture those special moments in life - they could happen at any time.
You should never neglect to add comments to all of your photos. Let the people viewing your pictures know what’s going on in the picture. Pictures may be worth a thousand words, but adding a few extra words can really flesh out what’s going on in your pictures.

From Photo Albums to Scrapbooks
The inherent wonder and beauty of scrapbooks is found in the fact that generations may not only view the photos as they would in a family photo album, but have a theme, style, and journalized information to help explain the photos as well. Since scrapbooks are often customized and designed according to a theme, it makes it much simpler and more organized for readers to understand what was taking place in each photo.
However, what may be interesting to realize, is that scrapbooking is in fact older than photo albums. Before there were cameras and family photos, there were news clippings, magazine stories, drawings, notes, and memorabilia. These items were often arranged and displayed in books and the art of scrapbooking was formed. It is said that both Mark Twain, the writer, and Thomas Jefferson, the politician, were both avid scrapbookers. They kept close journals, records, and details of their lives by creating scrapbooks that displayed personal memorabilia.
Scrapbooks offer many more advantages than traditional photo albums. The way scrapbooks are displayed, the ability to create books with themes, and the ability to pour out your own creativity, heart, and soul into your scrapbook is a benefit not provided with photo albums.
Another important aspect of scrapbooking is that old photos that are in traditional photo albums are often displayed in paper that contains acid. Over a period of years, this paper deteriorates and leaves the photos to become damaged. It is imperative that old photos are removed from these albums and displayed in safe, acid free binders or papers. Many people are choosing to replace photo albums with scrapbooks to not only protect their sentimental photos, but to combine them with journaling and other important memorabilia. The popularity of scrapbooking continues to rise as more people discover the benefits and advantages of using scrapbooks as compared to photo albums.

Easy Photo Sharing Helps With Fundraising
As long as you have an email list that people have opted in to (given you their permission to mail), there are so many different, creative ways you can tell folks about an event. If you’ve never considered easy photo sharing as a way to spread the word, here are a few tips on how you can.
Slide shows. If you’re having a silent auction, easy photo sharing is a great way to spread the word about the items you are auctioning off. First, take photos of the items you are auctioning off, especially the ones that photograph well.
Then, go to one of the easy photo sharing websites on the Internet and upload your photos. It’s simple and the best easy photo sharing sites have tutorials. Once you have your photos uploaded, use their tools to create a slide show of the items you have for auction.
Once you have your slideshow prepared, simply use your email list to invite people to review the items for sale at your silent auction. You can ask that people on your list forward the email to their friends and relatives. This will generate some talk about your event, and get people excited about the items you have for sale.
Photo albums. If your child is active in sports, be sure to take a season’s worth of digital images of all the games, some of the practices, and social events the team holds. Then, upload your photos to an easy photo sharing site.
You can also have the kids on the team take their own digital photos, and have them sent to you. This will help make the album more personal. Once you’re photos are uploaded, use the site to create an online photo album. Creating an online album at an easy photo sharing site won’t take more than a couple of hours of your time. It can include all the fun times from the past season. Be sure to feature all the team members in the album with their own special photo.
Once you have the album created, you can send an announcement to the team telling them the album is for sale. Encourage the people on the list to let grandparents, aunts and uncles and other relatives know that the album is for sale. This will help spread the word and bring sales in from non-team members.
Have orders placed through you, and charge slightly more than what the album costs through the easy photo sharing site - this will be the profit for the team. Be sure to include shipping charges in your price, and be sure to ask for and receive prepayment. Place the orders and have the items shipped directly to the person who ordered the album. That way, you’re involvement and work is simplified.
A little imagination, combined with an easy photo sharing site, can go a long way to generating income for your fundraiser!

Sharing your Photos - Using Sharing Sites and Email
There are a few methods for sharing photos. Before the digital era sharing was done by printing photos and arranging them in photo albums. Then when family or friends gather they could go over those albums viewing each photo and talking about their experiences. Another way to share photos with people that were physically far away was via mail. Printed photos were put in an envelope and mailed.
The digital era made sharing photos and experiences much easier and almost instant. For example with digital photography you can share a photo at the instance it was taken with anyone in the world.
There are a few ways to sharing digital photos:
Sharing by email: Photos are computer files and like any other file they can be sent as an email attachment to any number of email recipients. To share a photo over email simply create a new email, enter the email addresses of the people you want to share the photo with, write a small description in the email body and then attach the photo files.
There are a few things to consider when sharing photos by email. Most ISPs and free email services limit the size of the attachments that can be sent. Many limit those to just a few megabytes. Some providers also limit the size of the email mailbox and thus sending a large number of big photo files can clog the recipient’s mailbox.
It is not considered ‘ok’ to email large attachments unless you personally know the recipient and he or she expects to receive such an email. It is highly recommended that you resize the photos before sending them by email. In most cases the recipient will only use the files to view the photo on the computer screen. For that purpose a photo resolution of 640X480 or 800X600 is more than enough and the reduced resolution files will be much smaller. If the recipient needs to print the photo then a high resolution version should be emailed.
Sharing using online sharing services: There are many online services that offer photo sharing for free. Using the service you can either share photos with a private group of people or share photos with the public. Sites such as www.flickr.com or www.shutterfly.com are very popular sharing sites. In addition to photo sharing they offer many other services such as photo printing. Using these services is simple: create an account with one of the services and start uploading your photos. When you’re done simply send the site’s link to whoever you want to share your photos with.
Sharing photos this way is very easy and efficient. You only need to upload the photos once and whoever you share the photos with can at their own time login to the site and view the albums. Most sites will resize the photo and reduce their resolution for faster viewing. However they will not allow the viewers to download the original full resolution file. In most cases this is not a problem as users can order prints directly from the sharing site. If they do need the original high resolution file you can always separately send it to them by email.
Sharing by FTP or other file transfer utilities: In this method the photos are just uploaded to an FTP server. The people you want to share the photos with will login to the FTP server and download the photos. This can also be done using online storage services that allow users to upload any file and then other users to download them. Similar to photo sharing services these services allow the sharing of files. They do not limit the users in downloading the full resolution photo files but they also lack the advantages of easily browsing through photo albums and quickly previewing low resolution version of the photos. Usually FTP servers are used by professionals or companies that need to share a large amount of data between them. Also professional printing services will sometime host an FPT server and have users upload full resolution photo files to this server for printing.
Sharing by burning CD/DVDs: This method is similar to the old fashion method of mailing printed photos. Instead of printing paper prints and mailing them you burn all the images for sharing on a CD (or DVD if more space is needed) and mail the CD/DVD to the people you want to share it with. This method is slow and used usually only when the amount of photos to share is very big and transferring so much data online is a hassle. An example for using this method is sending a large number of high resolution photos for a printing service
In conclusion there are many ways to share photos. For most users who simply want to share photos for viewing on the computer screen and maybe print a few photos using the online photo sharing and printing services is the best. These free services provide all the functionality most users need. Occasionally when you need to share a high resolution photo for printing you can easily send it by email.

How Should We Create Free Baby Websites Differently?
What is the point of creating a professional looking baby website?
One of the common mistakes of every parent when creating a baby website is to create an “online storage” of their baby photos and video clips. They could have spent hours putting new baby’s pictures and videos on the web but didn’t spend time on sharing their experiences, pictures, and your baby’s stories with loved ones, families and friends. It is good to have a nice looking website, but “sharing” is main key here. However, being a new mom, you didn’t want to be spending a lot of time on the computer. So what is the best to share your joy with your lovely baby?
You may have friends and family from different location and really wanted to be able to keep them all in touch with your new baby. When they visit the site, they can view the photos, participate in baby polls and sign the guestbook. It is such a nice way to show people, especially ones that do not get to see too often, what your precious baby has been doing. Baby websites keeps all of your family and friends up to date on all the amazing things that are going on in your baby’s life. You don’t need to know anything about web servers to create a beautiful baby website.
How Should We Choose A Baby Website?
The best way to create, and most importantly, to share your baby website is to look for a baby community website, which can allow you to tell your baby’s stories (we called it blogging), upload pictures and video clips, sign guestbook, give comments and so on. Why choose baby community website? This is because a community website can create a “sharing” medium. For an example, you upload a video clip of your dancing baby. The members of the community website watch it, giving you some blessing comments. Meanwhile, you can also read moms’ blogs to better know about baby care, raise a baby-related question in forum and someone reply, and so on…
